Clay Buster

Hello and welcome to Clay Buster.

Feathers & Fur magazine are pleased to announce the introduction of their online eNewsletter, "Clay Buster", especially designed to service the needs of Simulated Field clay target shooters.

Feathers & Fur is Australia's leading field shotgunning magazine and has been serving it's readership since February 1995. It covers all forms of hunting with shotguns both in Australia and overseas as well as dog training, politics, conservation, Simulated Field clay target shooting and vermin control work.

Why the need for "Clay Buster"?

Field & Game Australia has 55 shooting ranges throughout the country in 5 states and 2 territories; many shooters travel around and see the different grounds. Unfortunately, there are just as many shooters that do not get the opportunity to travel. This doesn't mean they are not interested in what happens at the other Simulated Field shooting grounds; they just cannot get to them.

Feathers & Fur magazine is only published every three months. Alas, the great majority of our 25,000 readers do not participate in the wonderful sport of clay target shooting and have no interest in it. The amount of coverage that clay target shooting receives in the magazine is therefore commensurate to the level of readership interest.

Because the magazine is only published quarterly it is difficult to keep the relevance of clay target type articles up to date and newsworthy.

Many shooters would like to know what happened at the shoot outside of their districts but unfortunately there is no way to find out this information unless they know someone that went to the event. Even then, that person may not know or remember the full results.

In an attempt to better and fully service our readers that enjoy frequent Simulated Field clay target shooting activity and would like to know what is happening around the traps, Feathers & Fur magazine decided to implement an eNewsletter titled "Clay Buster".

This will be a free service to all FGA branches, members and readers provided by Feathers & Fur magazine. It will provide readers with up to date information about what is happening on the Simulated Field clay target scene.

How will it work and who will get it?

FGA branches who choose to have their shoot results published in Clay Buster will email the results of their shoots (and a photograph if they wish) immediately after their shoot. The eNewsletter will be put together by Feathers & Fur staff and emailed to any person who wants it. Just register to receive "Clay Buster". You can unsubscribe any time you like.

Clay Buster will be emailed to you during the first week of the month. All editions of Clay Buster will be archived on the website and can be viewed or downloaded at any time.

We hope you all enjoy the Clay Buster eNewsletter. Tell all your friends about Clay Buster and get them to register as well.

Feathers & Fur magazine is committed to helping our Simulated Field clay target shooters enjoy their sport to the full. All of the magazine staff enjoy a day out on the clays and hope that our readers will also enjoy Clay Buster.

All the best and good shooting
