2011 National Carnival - Hosted by Echuca Moama

29-30 October

A showcase of the nation’s best clay target shooters will converge on Echuca-Moama this year for the Field and Game Australia National Carnival.

Over two days of spirited competition, shooters will take aim at more than 60,000 clay targets across three ranges, addressing 150 simulated field targets each.

This year's FGA National Carnival is set to attract well over 400 shooters, with ladies, men, juniors and veterans all vying for more than $55,000 worth of prizes.

October 29-30 will be an action-packed two days at Echuca-Moama Field and Game range with shooters competing in both open and handicapped events.

If you're keen to participate in FGA's premier clay target event, make sure you get your nomination in as soon as possible.

Either print out the Nomination Form at the bottom of this page and send it in to the FGA National Office, or complete the
Online Nomination Form at the FGA website at www.fga.net.au.

 

PLEASE NOTE:

- 28-gram shot shell loads are the maximum that can be used at this event

     - Competitors must produce their licence daily to comply with the NSW Firearms Act 

 

 

Nominations + Squads...

Nominations close 5pm on Friday 21 October, or when 480 nominations are received, whichever comes first. No entries will be accepted on the day. 

If you are nominating online and would like to be squaded up with a mate, please submit your nominations together so that your request is easily identified. A maximum of 3 people can elect to shoot together per squad. If 4 people wish to shoot together, they will be divided into pairs in separate squads, shooting as close together as possible.
Every effort is made to meet your requests however we cannot guarantee that all requests will be met. 

Squad allocation and start times will be listed on the FGA website from 5pm on Friday, October 21.

Friday...

Competitors arriving on Friday are encouraged to present their Handicap Card at the nominations office and make themselves familiar with the grounds.

The practise trap, pool shoot and catering will be available from noon on this day.

Accommodation...

As the carnival is held over the Melbourne Cup Long Weekend, you should plan your stay early and visit the Echuca-Moama Visitor Information website to search for and book accommodation. Echuca-Moama is a popular tourist destination at that time of the year, which means many accommodation providers will book out early.
